Paano laruin
- It's easy to learn how to play: enter the head count (4 to 12) and everyone's names, and a recommended line-up of roles is set for you. You can change the number of Werewolves and switch the Bodyguard, Seer, Medium and Traitor on or off.
- The first night: pass the phone round the group so each person checks their own role in private. The Werewolves learn who their fellow wolves are, and the Seer gets a first look if that option is on.
- Day: everyone talks it through and works out who the Werewolves are. There is a discussion timer, and you are free to bluff or to claim a role out loud.
- Vote: the phone goes round again and each person votes in secret. Whoever collects the most votes goes home, and a tie calls a run-off vote.
- Night: the phone goes round and each role acts. The Werewolves pick who gets the prank, the Bodyguard protects one person, the Seer looks into someone, and the Medium reads whoever was voted home. The phone reaches players with no power in exactly the same way, so nobody’s role shows in how they handle it.
- Morning: the night is announced. If the Bodyguard’s protection landed, nobody goes home. The Villagers win once every Werewolf has gone home; the Werewolves win once their numbers equal or exceed everyone else still in.
Paano manalo
Villagers win by sending every Werewolf home. Werewolves win once their numbers equal or outnumber everyone else still in.
Mga tip
- For a first game, the Seer usually claims the role early and shares each result — it makes it much easier for the Bodyguard to protect them.
- The Bodyguard's default move is to protect the Seer who has claimed the role. Whether the same person can be protected two nights running is set in the options.
- When in doubt, talk rather than go quiet. People who explain their vote get trusted; silence gets suspected.
- The Traitor’s classic play is to pose as the Seer and hand out fake results — a look into you reads as "not a werewolf", so use it.
Mga madalas itanong
- How many players do you need, and can small groups play?
- It works from around 4 players and up. With a smaller group, the role mix stays simple and the rules are easy to pick up quickly; add more players and the discussion phase gets a lot livelier. Four players is a quick taster that usually settles in one or two votes, so for a proper game 5 to 7 is the sweet spot.
- Are there special roles beyond Werewolf and Villager?
- Yes. The browser version on this page adds a Seer (checks whether one chosen player is a Werewolf each night), a Bodyguard (protects one player from the prank each night), a Medium (learns whether the person voted home was a Werewolf) and a Traitor (a human who sides with the wolves). (This is the classic multi-round Werewolf, not One Night Ultimate Werewolf.)
- Do you need a moderator who sits out?
- No. Both the browser version on this page and the app run everything — dealing the roles, walking each player through the night, counting the votes — so everyone gets to play.
- What happens if the vote is tied?
- The tied names become the field and the whole group holds one run-off vote. If that ties as well, the person who goes home is drawn by lot from those candidates (the screen always says when it came down to a draw). The browser version runs this whole sequence for you.
- On one phone, can other people see my role?
- No. A hand-over screen always comes between two turns, and the role and night-action screens are cleared before the phone changes hands. At night the phone reaches players with no power in exactly the same way, so nobody can guess a role from the way it was used.
