Wink Killer

Wink Killer

One wink, and you're out.

A hidden-role party game passed around the room: a secret Wink Killer gets out anyone they lock eyes with, while everyone else tries to catch them before it's too late. Special roles like Police and Detective tip the balance.

Jinsi ya kucheza

  1. Roles are dealt out in secret: one Killer, everyone else a Citizen. Don't show your role to anyone else.
  2. Play face-to-face — chat and mingle as usual, while everyone naturally keeps making eye contact with each other.
  3. The Killer secretly winks at anyone who meets their eyes to put them out. The winked-at player waits 5 seconds, then declares they're out (the wait keeps a sudden collapse from giving the Killer away).
  4. Any Citizen who suspects someone can accuse them alone, at any time. Name the right person and the Killer is exposed — Citizens win. Guess wrong, and the accusing Citizen goes out instead, and play continues.
  5. The Killer wins by getting everyone out except the last player standing.

Jinsi ya kushinda

In the beginner ruleset, Citizens win by accusing and correctly naming the Killer, while the Killer wins by getting everyone out except the last player standing.

Vidokezo

  • The Detective's hint can also match an Accomplice or a Bomber, so don't take it as absolute proof that someone is innocent.
  • If you're on the Killer's side, trade winks with your Accomplice early to confirm your ally — it makes coordinating much easier later.
  • An accusation is withdrawn if no witness steps forward within 10 seconds of the call. If you suspect someone, line up an ally with a glance before you make your move.

Maswali yanayoulizwa sana

What's the difference between the beginner and normal rulesets?
The beginner ruleset is a simple lineup of one Killer versus Citizens, and any Citizen can accuse alone at any time. The normal ruleset adds roles like Police, Detective, Accomplice, and Bomber, and an accusation needs one witness to back it up.
How many players do you need?
You can play with as few as 3. The beginner ruleset is especially recommended for small groups of 3-5.
Should you declare you're out the instant you get winked at?
No — wait 5 seconds first, then declare it. Collapsing immediately would make it too easy for everyone to see who just winked at you.
Is Wink Killer the same game as Wink Murder?
Yes — Wink Killer is this app's name for the classic hidden-role party game widely known elsewhere as Wink Murder (or the Killer Wink game), where a secret killer gets people out with a wink while everyone else tries to catch them.
